FAMILY, YOUTH, and CHILDREN

​​To support the families, children, youth, and the workforce of our community, we value and seek:

• A safe, nurturing, and stable childcare system that provides developmental enrichment and pre-K learning, and is accessible to all families in need. 

• Summer, weekend, and afterschool recreational and community programs providing opportunities for families and young people that promote continued social development and engagement.

• Community programs designed to educate and support individuals and families and to address the causes of, and treatment for, alcohol and substance use disorders. Such programs must also address prevention of alcohol and drug misuse and addition beginning with education of children at an early age.
