CONSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY
-
We define integrity as the choice to act with wisdom, honesty, and strong moral character even when it is difficult. It is a characteristic that we seek in all our elected officials. We recognize we must hold ourselves accountable for upholding this standard when we vote.
-
In regards to the constitution, we accept integrity to be commitment to the upholding of our laws and protection of our rights with transparency and honesty.
-
We recognize that at times our rights and laws may seemingly come into competition with one another. Any time our rights feel threatened or violated, we may feel emotionally overwhelmed. We choose to persevere.
-
The Democratic Party is committed to unity rather than uniformity and willingness to continue communicating with a respectful tone regardless of the issue.
