Who can vote?
In order to vote in NC you need to meet the following requirements:

Must be a US citizen.

Must be 18 years or older by the date of election.

Must be a resident of the county in which you are registered and have lived at your residential address for at least 30 days prior to the election.

Must not be serving a sentence for a felony conviction (including parole or probation). If you have completed your sentence, citizenship and voting rights are automatically restored and special documentation is not required.

You are now required to have a valid photo ID to vote.
